This face-to-face camp has been designed for children to enjoy, have fun and learn. Our face-to-face Science May half-term camp groups are small to enable tutors and children greater scope for interaction, dialogue, questions and answers. We motivate students to develop their understanding of science while having fun. We stimulate children to interact with scientists and science and biomedical science students and questions about what is like to study science at university level and what is like to work as a scientist. We teach students to learn how to identify a problem and look for a solution. We also foster the development of resilience. Sometimes, some children tend to give up easily. Therefore, we teach children that they need to try for alternate solutions to a given problem. We encourage children to learn and discuss in-depth science facts and concepts. We also motivate children to have a good understanding of biology, chemistry and physics and the way science impact our day to day lives. Children work on activities to develop problem-solving skills, teamwork and resilience.
